American Tattooing Institute is a provider of On-Line education and certification for the tattooing industry. Our mission is to help new and existing artists obtain the best and most affordable education and certification available in the tattooing industry.
Our Web-Based Comprehensive Tattoo Program offers you an opportunity to advance your education, further your professional development, and enhance your personal knowledge and abilities in a flexible and convenient atmosphere. This user-friendly Web site provides you with immediate access to our online program or the ability to order our certification program through the mail. The course is free to access and study. If you choose to submit the course exam for a certificate of completion, there is a $69 fee.

PLEASE NOTE: Our certification program is not meant to take the place of a thorough apprenticeship with a reputable artist. Completion of our program is designed to reinforce good procedural standards within the studio.
According to OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) an employee with the potential for exposure to blood or other potentially infectious material (OPIM) is required Universal Precautions training ANNUALLY.
Our certification course covers OSHA standards as well as the standards of other states and countries. Check with your local Health Department for additional requirements.
